Advert for IOIC festival, 6th to 7th May 2026

Broom & Moon co-founder Teresa North will be speaking at next week’s Institute of Internal Communication Festival 2026. Her topic? Communicating vision and strategy: from leadership voice to customer voice.

Already got a ticket for the Festival? Then do come along - she’d love to see you there!

Not got a ticket, but fancy coming along? Teresa’s co-founder Clare has had to drop out, meaning we have one free Festival ticket to spare. If you or a colleague could take it off our hands, drop us a line before 9am on Friday, letting us know who’s coming and any dietary requirements.

The sixth annual IoIC Festival will take place 6-7 May at Warbrook House in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. It’s an opportunity to connect with fellow internal comms folk and explore the trends that will define the profession’s future.

Here’s more about Teresa’s session:

“Customers are at the heart of everything we do”. It’s a claim we’ve all heard (and may well have made on behalf of our leaders). But how often do we, as internal communicators, pay attention to the words of customers? How often does customer language shape our messaging around vision and strategy? In this session, Teresa will reveal the magic that happens when you replace ideas about “leadership voice” and “internal tone” with capturing how customers speak.

Teresa will be sharing a case study with tips on how to:

  1. Ask the right questions and challenge thinking - to get to the heart of a leader’s vision

  2. Embed the customer’s voice in your comms about vision and strategy - and why you should

  3. Win leadership buy-in for messaging recommendations - by showing your “working out”

11.20am – 12pm on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, The Empower Village - James Room, Warbrook House, Hampshire.
